Java Production Support Engineer Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Java Production Support Specialist to contribute to our engineering department. This position is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.

The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our production systems, working closely with the Engineering team to develop solutions for customer-reported problems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Solve complex customer/field technical escalations using technical and analytical skills.
  • Work with the Engineering team to resolve customer issues.
  • Participate in daily meetings to update the development team on ongoing escalation statuses.
  • Own highly technical customer escalations with clear expectations and timelines.
  • Develop tools and techniques for root cause analysis using available data.
  • Reduce time to resolve product issues by fixing them after RCA.
  • Provide timely updates to issue reporting teams to improve customer satisfaction.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 6+ years' experience in technical product support type roles, preferably in escalations teams.
  • Experience as an L3 escalation engineer taking care of complex customer issues.
  • Software development experience using Java technologies.
  • Good understanding and working experience of MySQL/MariaDB/RDBMS and database concepts.
  • Understanding of Microservice architecture environments on AWS.
  • Experience troubleshooting and helping with root cause analysis for customer/support/field reported issues.
  • Passion, curiosity, integrity, and attention to detail while performing tasks. A team player who works well in collaborative environments.
