Job Title: Technical Author

 

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Author to join our team. As a key member of our documentation department, you will be responsible for creating and revising technical documentation for complex electro-mechanical assemblies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed procedures and functional descriptions by interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuit diagrams.
  • Ensure all documentation meets industry standards (e.g., ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D), regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA), and internal quality guidelines.
  • Familiarity with structured documentation formats such as XML or SGML.
  • Proficiency in tools like Adobe Illustrator, IsoDraw CAD Process, or CorelDRAW for technical illustrations
  • Strong knowledge of ATA 100, ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D, and Simplified Technical English.
  • Understanding of S1000D data module structure and CGM/SVG integration for illustrations.
  • Experience working with CAD tools like CATIA V5, UG (NX), and SolidWorks to generate accurate visuals.

 

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in technical writing and editing.
  2. Excellent understanding of documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
  3. Proficiency in using CAD software and technical illustration tools.
  4. Strong communication and project management skills.
