Job Role: MEP & Hvac Design Specialist

  • We seek a skilled MEP & Hvac Design Specialist with expertise in designing commercial, industrial, and healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform heat load calculations and cooling load estimations as per ASHRAE/ISHRAE standards to ensure efficient system design.
  • Design & selection of chillers, pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems, and other HVAC equipment to meet project requirements.
  • Create detailed HVAC system layouts (ducting, piping, controls) using AutoCAD/Revit for accurate documentation.
  • Develop BOQs, technical specifications, design reports, tender documents, and equipment data sheets to facilitate project execution.
  • Manage documentation, submittals, and approvals with clients and consultants to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Coordinate with MEP teams (mechanical, electrical & plumbing), architects, and contractors for integrated project delivery.
  • Review vendor proposals and conduct technical evaluations to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Support value engineering, energy efficiency improvements, and system optimization to enhance project outcomes.
  • Provide technical support during installation, testing & commissioning stages to ensure smooth project completion.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, including chillers, VRF, air distribution, and hydronic systems.
  • Familiarity with MEP coordination and integration.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk/HAP, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Carrier E20-II, Duct Sizer, Pipe Sizer, or equivalent software.
  • Knowledge of industry standards/codes: ASHRAE, ISHRAE, SMACNA, NBC, IS, ASME.
  • Good communication, documentation, and client handling skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3–8 years of experience in MEP & HVAC design engineering.
  • Prior exposure to commercial, industrial, healthcare, and large infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Membership/certification from ASHRAE/ISHRAE is an added advantage.
