Job Overview:

  • Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations.
  • Architect and implement real-time data acquisition visualization and reporting solutions for enhanced production efficiency.
  • E nsure seamless integration of OT systems with enterprise IT systems for optimal performance and availability.
  • Develop and maintain secure data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team.
  • Apply industry best practices and proven expertise with Ignition SCADA Inductive Automation, including scripting module configuration and project deployment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE downtime analysis, traceability, SPC etc.
  • Proficiency with database technologies, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or equivalent.
  • Experience with OTIT integration technologies, REST APIs for system interconnectivity, MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication, OPC UA for industrial interoperability.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLC, SCADA HMIs and plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards ISA95, ISA88, ISA99IEC 62443.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms Azure IoT, AWS IoT etc.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes for SCADAMES deployments.
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Certifications Ignition Gold Certified Specialist OPC UA or relevant industrial ITOT certifications.
