US Accounting Expert Required

We are seeking a highly skilled US Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in hotel accounting functions including income journal loading, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform daily income journal loading and reconcile revenues with supporting reports from property management systems (PMS).
  2. Manage bank reconciliations across multiple hotel accounts, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
  3. Support month-end close activities including accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and intercompany allocations.
  4. Maintain accurate general ledger entries, trial balance, and balance sheet schedules.
  5. Process and monitor accounts payable (AP) — vendor invoices, utility bills, and expense reimbursements.
  6. Handle accounts receivable (AR) — guest ledger, city ledger, and third-party billing reconciliations.
  7. Oversee multi-currency accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with foreign exchange policies.
  8. Prepare and validate financial statements, P&L reports, and variance analysis for multiple properties.
  9. Ensure proper revenue recognition in line with US GAAP and company accounting policies.
  10. Reconcile credit card settlements and investigate chargebacks or disputes.
  11. Monitor cash flow for assigned hotels and prepare daily cash reports.
  12. Liaise with auditors (internal and external) and provide necessary schedules and documentation.
  13. Collaborate with hotel management teams on financial queries and reporting.
  14. Support compliance with tax regulations, licensing, and hotel-specific reporting requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of US Hotel Accounting experience is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of income audit, AP/AR, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities.
  • Experience with multi-currency accounting and handling multiple hotel/resort portfolios.
  • Proficiency in Excel and hotel-specific accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently with accountability.
