Job Title: Wind Turbine Specialist

Role Overview

The Sales Engineer role is responsible for verifying the site-specific benefit of wind turbine upgrades, while ensuring structural integrity. This involves working in a global and cross-functional team as the interface between customers and headquarter functions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Re-assess existing/planned wind farms using an internal tool chain to confirm compatibility and structural integrity
  • Assess site-specific wind conditions, apply mechanical load mitigation strategies, and run validation campaigns
  • Support upgrades sales by creating benefit calculations and driving implementation
  • Collaborate with regions and after-sales colleagues to convince customers and stakeholders
  • Have a measurable impact on business performance and build a network within the company and industry

Career Requirements

  • Completed university studies in Engineering or Business/Economics with a strong technical background
  • 5-10 years of experience in wind & site assessments, mechanical loads department, or equal technical service organisations
  • Highly analytical with problem-solving skills, self-driven, focused, and pragmatic
  • Optionally know-how in wind turbine technology, WindPRO, and Python experience
