Legal Counsel Opportunities

Job Description:

This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on the legal landscape of our organization. You will work closely with senior counsel to review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, including SaaS, licensing, data sharing, MSAs, NDAs, etc. Ensuring compliance with data protection laws is also a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements with clients.
  • Supporting data protection law compliance, including GDPR, CCPA, DPDP, etc.
  • Contributing to internal compliance frameworks, IP protection, and risk management strategies.
  • Liaising with external partners and regulators when necessary.
  • Staying updated on evolving legal landscapes and informing stakeholders accordingly.
  • Developing and maintaining internal legal processes and templates.

Requirements:

This position requires strong skills in legal drafting and negotiation. The ideal candidate should have experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel, preferably in TMT, Fintech, or General Corporate sectors. An LL.B. degree is mandatory, with LL.M. or certifications in data privacy/fintech being an added advantage.

  • Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • LL.B. required; LL.M. or data privacy certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-legal teams.
  • Able to manage multiple legal matters independently.

What You Will Achieve:

This role offers a clear career progression plan. Then, you will take ownership of standard contracts and support negotiations with clients. As you progress, you will lead end-to-end negotiations for routine contracts and contribute to process improvements.

  • Months 1-3: Take ownership of standard contracts and support client negotiations.
  • Month 4 onwards: Lead negotiations and contribute to process improvements.
