The role of a legal professional is to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, protect the company's interests, and provide expert advice on complex matters.

About the Role

This position will involve reviewing contracts, drafting agreements, and negotiating terms with clients and suppliers. The successful candidate will work closely with senior legal counsel and other departments to maintain high standards of compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Review and Drafting: Conduct thorough reviews of contracts, including supplier agreements, vendor contracts, client agreements, service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). Ensure contracts comply with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Compliance Support: Monitor and ensure the company's adherence to regulatory and legal requirements across various jurisdictions. Assist in conducting internal compliance audits and risk assessments.
  • Legal Research and Advisory: Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Provide expert advice and recommendations on legal risks and compliance matters to internal stakeholders.
  • General Legal Support: Assist in corporate governance matters, including board meeting minutes and regulatory filings. Support the legal team with dispute resolution, litigation, and other legal matters as required.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A law degree (LLB or equivalent)
  • 4-6 years of experience in a law firm or in-house
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
