RME Facility Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of RME Manager. As an RME Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

• Oversee the overall building and facilities maintenance, including reliability, performance, and cost management.
• Ensure compliance with Indian laws and regulations, including Hazwaste management, Pressure vessels, Calibrations, Pollution control board requirements, Electricity board requirements, weights & measurement, license & permits.
• Maintain FSSAI food safety standards in the building, including pest control, building cleanliness, and related documents.
• Coordinate with the Landlord and Amazon Real Estate team to ensure upkeep and availability of common area lighting, fire protection, STP, and other services within the landlord's scope.
• Participate in site launch discussions and incorporate previous learnings into design.
• Prepare annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets and achieve spending targets set by leadership.
• Conduct root cause analysis for incidents/breakdowns and eliminate root causes.
• Develop contingency plans for critical equipment and ensure effectiveness.
• Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence by all members.
• Meet and exceed benchmarks for Amazon RME activities.
• Manage equipment maintenance, including conveyors, workstations, Labelling Machines, PLC control systems, electrical systems, and trolleys.
• Provide timely feedback/inputs to team members and evaluate them during yearly performance reviews.
• Develop and apply Preventive Maintenance Routines on equipment.
• Ensure contractors/vendors follow rules and handle projects with minimal inconvenience to site operations.
• Develop and implement vendor AMCs with appropriate service levels for equipment.
• Follow up on required material purchasing with the Procurement Team.
• Prepare critical spares list for all installations as per manufacturer's recommendations and plan/maintain inventory at site.
• Provide feedback and analysis on equipment performance and availability.
• Manage day-to-day issues on equipment with Operations teams, defining priorities and organizing work accordingly.
• Supervise a team of Maintenance technicians and 3rd party facilities service providers.
• Define goals, priorities, staff planning, and training to ensure service levels.
• Maintain a safe working environment, applying Amazon Safety Policy and working with the Safety team to improve safety on site.
• Keep the site within 5S standards by managing a diverse team and ensuring all standards are followed.
• Maintain, follow, upgrade, and store relevant documents for RME function.
• Support the Engineering & projects team for installation of new equipment, ensuring installation, operation, and performance standards align with Amazon standards.
• Lead from front and offer creative solutions.
• Provide immediate technical guidance to operations during critical events.

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical or Diploma holder (Engineer preferred) with equivalent experience. At least 6 years of experience in maintenance and equipment technical management in e-commerce/manufacturing sector.

• Significant impactful experience in a similar role, ideally in a fast-paced industrial/logistics/production/manufacturing environment.
• Results-oriented approach with good analytical, team leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Electrical and Mechanical Background, experienced in installation, commissioning, and operations of Electrical distribution systems (HT & LT), HVAC installation, Fire Alarm and Suppression systems, General building MEP systems, Material Handling and conveying equipment/systems.
• Experience in troubleshooting installation, fault finding, and repairs.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role managing people.
• Strong background in FSSAI, HAACP, GMP, India Factories Act & ISO standards.
