Job Title: GCP Platform Engineer

We are looking for a skilled professional to lead the design, development and management of scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps practices, security and containerization technologies.

  • Design and build highly scalable, secure and reliable cloud infrastructure on GCP.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
  • Architect, deploy and manage Kubernetes (GKE) clusters and containerized applications.
  • Implement and enforce cloud security best practices including IAM, firewalls and encryption.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform, networking and infrastructure issues across distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to cloud best practices.

Key Responsibilities include designing, building and managing cloud infrastructure, developing IaC solutions, architecting and deploying Kubernetes clusters and implementing cloud security best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Google Cloud Platform services, strong background in Platform Engineering and DevOps methodologies and expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform services.
  • Strong background in Platform Engineering and DevOps methodologies.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud networking concepts.
  • Proven experience with Terraform for IaC.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security tools.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Google Cloud Functions, Cloud Run and serverless architectures.
  • Knowledge of Policy as Code using tools like OPA or Forseti.
  • Familiarity with cost optimization strategies on GCP.
