Job Description:

As a Cloud Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our next-generation, cloud-native data platform on AWS. You'll collaborate closely with the Cloud Engineering Architect, DevOps, Data Engineering, and Security teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud infrastructure that supports our rapidly evolving data needs and application ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code principles.
    • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
      • Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization, performance, and costs.
        • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
          • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues.
            • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployment and operations in the cloud.
              • Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.
                • Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies and contribute to the team's knowledge base.

Job Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering or SRE roles.
    • Strong proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
      • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
        • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
          • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
            • Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments.
              • Experience with monitoring and logging tools for cloud infrastructure.
                • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required Experience

MUST HAVE:

  • CI/CD (Good experience with GitHub actions and other industry standard tools)
    • Strong background in Linux/Windows environments.
      • Hands-on experience in designing and deploying cloud solutions, AWS is preferable.
        • Proficient with Docker Containerisation.
          • Deep understanding of microservices architecture and deployment strategies.
          • Experience with APU, RUM, and full-stack monitoring solutions -Open Telemetry, Datadog, etc.
            • Strong knowledge of Cloud security principles.


• Preferred- Experience with Databricks, ETL Tools, Python, and NoSQL.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Cloud platform certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, GCP Professional Cloud Engineer).
    • Experience with distributed computing systems and big data technologies.
      • Knowledge of database management systems, both relational and NoSQL.
        • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
          • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of cloud resources.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related field.
