Virtual Legal Counsel Job Description

This is a senior legal role where you will provide expert advice and guidance to clients on various legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Interaction and Briefing: Engage with clients to understand their requirements, gather detailed briefs, and provide expert advice on legal provisions, risks, and best practices for contracts.
  • Drafting Supervision: Direct and guide junior associates in drafting contracts and agreements based on client briefs, providing clear instructions and frameworks to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Quality Control: Review and quality check contracts drafted by junior associates for compliance, accuracy, and alignment with client requirements.
  • Training and Development: Train junior associates on effective drafting techniques, legal language, and industry best practices, conducting regular workshops or mentoring sessions to improve team skills.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and refine internal workflows for drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts to improve turnaround time and ensure adherence to organizational standards.
  • Legal Research: Conduct research on legal updates and industry trends to ensure compliance and provide added value to clients.
  • Collaboration and Reporting: Collaborate with the legal team and management to streamline processes, resolve complex client requirements, and provide regular updates on client projects and team performance.
