Financial Operations Specialist

- Maintain accurate client ledgers, tracking transactions and trading margins.
- Reconcile daily balances to ensure accuracy in client accounts.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and maintain up-to-date records.
- Coordinate with external auditors for internal and statutory audits.
The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage deadlines under pressure.
Accounting Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update client ledgers, tracking deposits, withdrawals, and trading margins.
- Reconcile executed trades with exchange and back-office systems.
- Calculate and record brokerage, statutory fees (gst, stt, sebi charges, stamp duty), and other trade-related charges.
Back Office Operations Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end client onboarding process, including kyc verification and account setup.
- Process and record client pay-ins and pay-outs for trades.
- Ensure timely completion of t+1/t+2 settlement obligations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related field, with 2+ years of experience in accounting or back-office operations.
Proficiency in accounting software and stock trading platforms is also required, as well as a strong understanding of stock market operations, settlement cycles, and regulatory requirements.
