Business Manager Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our Oil Additives business forward in the Indian subcontinent.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing strategies to achieve challenging targets for Oil Additives business in India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh, while maintaining and growing existing business profitably.
  • BUILDING strong relationships with customers at different levels in the organization and acquiring new customers.
  • Identifying potential target Indian OEM's within the Automotive industry & the industrial segment & working with them for promoting Evonik Oil Additive technologies / initiatives including extensive field trials.
  • Deciding on the most effective sales channels for customers and segments in the region, selecting, managing and evaluating agents and distributors.

You will also be responsible for close coordination & co-operation within the global organization supported by a spirit of teamwork.

Additionally, you will work closely with departments of principals, e.g. key account management, technical service, product management, customer service, supply chain, marketing services and business development to support strategic goals of the business.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of lubricants & its application is preferred.

  • MBA in Sales / Operations.
  • Experience of handling Public sector customers.

Requirements include possessing technical sales acumen, being self-motivated and enthusiastic, target oriented, a team player, able to communicate effectively and open to new ideas.
