Senior Cloud Network Automation Expert

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to serve as a Subject Matter Expert in designing, implementing and automating cloud-based network solutions. This role will drive the transformation and automation of network operations ensuring scalable, secure and highly available connectivity across multi-cloud environments.

About the Role:

  • Design and implement cloud networking architectures (VNETS/VPCs, subnets, routing, peering, VPNs, Transit Gateways, etc.) in Azure, GCP and/or OCI.
  • Lead the automation of network provisioning, configuration and monitoring using tools such as Terraform, Ansible and Python.
  • Develop and enforce networking best practices and security standards across cloud environments.
  • Integrate network automation with CI/CD pipelines to support Infrastructure as Code.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with security, DevOps and application teams to ensure optimal network performance and compliance.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to architecture and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The ideal candidate should have strong experience in network engineering with 7+ years of experience, with at least 5 years focused on cloud networking and automation.
  • The candidate should have deep expertise in Azure, GCP networking services.
  • The ideal candidate should have strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Go or similar languages.
  • Proven experience with Terraform, Ansible in the context of infrastructure automation tools is essential.
  • Familiarity with container networking (Kubernetes, service mesh) is a plus.
  • An in-depth understanding of routing protocols, firewalls, DNS and load balancing is required.
  • Experience with multi-cloud hub spoke architecture and SD-WAN and hybrid network architectures is desired.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Solutions Architect, CCNP/CCIE or similar are a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with network observability tools and Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps principles is desirable.
