About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Machine Learning Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and improving machine learning models and solving optimization problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Credit Decisions: We use machine learning to identify good borrowers based on unstructured and structured data signals.
  • Customer Service: Our automated customer service interactions utilize machine learning and LLM/NLP to provide context to our customer service team.
  • Fraud Prevention: We build models to detect and prevent fraudulent behavior by identifying patterns.
  • Team work: As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the technical direction and abilities of the group.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience building software in production environments, preferably in startups or early-stage teams.
  • Excellent software engineering skills, particularly in Python and SQL.
  • A diverse range of data skills, including experimentation, statistics, and machine learning, to inform business decisions.
  • A deep understanding of using cloud computing infrastructure and data pipelines in production.
  • Self-motivation to learn new skills, take initiative, and solve problems proactively.
  • Team motivation to collaborate, listen to others, and speak your mind.
