**Project Manager - Building Structures Role**

Job Description

This position is a part of a project team working together to achieve project goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing feasibility study reports, reviewing them with the project lead, and ensuring timely delivery.

The role requires working closely with the design team to assemble a design specification that meets the employer's requirements. The candidate will also be responsible for agreeing on the scope of work with the project stakeholders and monitoring its progress.

An essential aspect of this role is carrying out detailed design to industry standards, ensuring compliance with regulations, quality assurance, and technical reviews. The candidate will also be responsible for reviewing and monitoring the production of calculations, ensuring they meet quality and technical standards.

In addition to these tasks, the successful candidate will need to ensure that information for project costing preparation is completed in detail and to deadlines. They will also be responsible for providing documentary information to assist in tender document preparation and keeping the design team informed of design progress.

The role involves coordinating project contracts documents, reviewing input from team members, and dealing with day-to-day queries from the design team. The candidate will also report any variance between constructed works and design intent to the project stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare feasibility study reports in agreed format and review with Local CRC Head of Structures.
  • Assemble design specification compliant with employer's requirements and monitor its preparation.
  • Agree and monitor scope of works with Local iCRC Head of Structures.
  • Carry out detailed design to WSP and B Regulations standard.
  • Review and monitor production of calculations.
  • Ensure information for project costing preparation is completed in requisite detail and to deadlines.
  • Provide documentary information for tender document preparation.
  • Coordinate project contracts documents and deal with day-to-day queries from design team.
  • Report variance between constructed works and design intent.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in building structure design, preferably in a similar role or with a good track record. They should possess excellent presentation skills and be fully conversant with technical structural software such as RAM, CSC, ETABSs, and SAFE.

A sound understanding of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project, is essential. Fluency in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology is also required.
