Job Title: In-House Counsel

Skan HR is a leading recruitment consultancy that specializes in placing legal professionals with top companies. We are inviting applications from experienced legal executives to fill this challenging role.



Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect the organization's interests in India.
  • Prepare contractual claims and respond to claims received in relation to contracts and agreements.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all contracts, including renewal timelines, and ensure timely follow-up and execution of renewal processes.
  • Keep accurate records of all legal files in both physical and digital formats for easy access and retrieval.
  • Ensure timely updates on amendments in laws, regulations, and compliance requirements affecting the organization.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Educational Qualification: Qualified Law graduate with an LLB degree.
  • Required Skills:
    • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in legal functions.
    • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Experience in archiving legal documents.


Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assist in due diligence and other corporate activities.
  • Validate vendors and suppliers according to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Support compliance audits and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
  • Maintain archives and assist with intellectual property registrations and renewals (if applicable).
  • Handle correspondence, collate information, write reports, and communicate decisions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as a point of contact for communication with regulators and external stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to read between the lines of any document and have an eye for detail.
  • Strong administrative skills and aptitude for using IT software.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels.
  • Discretion when handling confidential information.
