Job Title: Fund Accounting SpecialistAbout the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fund Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial analysis, with experience in fund accounting software and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Fund Accounting Functions: Perform/review daily, monthly, quarterly and annual fund accounting functions as assigned.
  • Team Coordination: Co-ordinate with different teams (both internal and external) to perform various daily/monthly/quarterly tasks.
  • Cash Break Resolution: Complete ownership and accountability for timely and accurate resolution of cash breaks.
  • Aged Break Monitoring: Monitor status of aged and significantly sized breaks to ensure timely and accurate resolution by following up with various stakeholders as required.
  • Deliverable Review: Act as the primary reviewer and quality assurance of the deliverables produced by your team.
  • Fees Calculation: Calculation, booking and reviewing of deal-wise various fees like management, incentive/carry etc., as assigned.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure end customer satisfaction/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) satisfaction & process efficiency.
  • Communication: Keep the Client/CRM informed about the expected delay and the reasons thereof on a timely manner along with a plan of action.
  • Timely Deliverables: Ensure all the deliverables are achieved as per defined timelines and with expected quality for our Clients/CRM.
  • Call Meetings: Participate in calls/meetings between team, Client/CRM to help set the expectations right and document the same to clear any understanding gaps.
  • Application Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of various applications, you work on to complete the tasks.
  • Problem Analysis: Perform root cause analysis of the problem and escalate to manager as needed.
Requirements
  • Accounting Experience: 3+ years of experience in fund accounting with a reputable organization.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in fund accounting software and processes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate complex ideas simply.
