Hedge Fund Analyst Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Hedge Fund Analyst to join our team at peergrowth-india.

Key Responsibilities:

  • NAV Calculations: Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly NAV calculations for hedge fund portfolios.
  • P&L Reconciliation: Perform P&L reconciliation between fund administrator reports, internal records, and prime broker statements.
  • Cash Reconciliation: Carry out cash reconciliation across custodians, banks, and internal systems.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in positions, pricing, fees, and expenses.
  • Month-End Closing: Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and accruals.
  • Performance Reporting: Assist in performance reporting and investor statements.
  • Trade Settlement: Coordinate with fund administrators, prime brokers, and custodians to ensure accurate trade settlement and reporting.
  • Data Validation: Collaborate with portfolio managers and risk teams to validate portfolio data and performance metrics.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's or professional certification like CFA/CPA is a plus).
  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in fund accounting or hedge fund operations, preferably with exposure to NAV calculation and reconciliation processes.
  • Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial instruments (equities, derivatives, fixed income, FX, etc.).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of fund accounting software (e.g., Advent Geneva, Investran, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Time Management: Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
