Job Overview

The Business Finance Director will serve as a liaison between the finance function and cross-functional teams to drive business growth and optimize costs.

This role requires providing real-time financial analysis and influencing strategic decision-making based on financial performance and planning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing a deep understanding of the organization, its categories, and consumers
  • Conducting data-driven trend analysis for profit and loss metrics with a focus on improving revenue shapes and highlighting key insights
  • Understanding drivers of revenue and pricing decisions' impact on growth
  • Day-to-day P&L management by building relationships with stakeholders to drive business growth
  • Creating processes for new initiatives and improving existing ones with a focus on governance and cost optimization
  • Preparing, managing, and publishing business scorecards
  • Stakeholder management and working closely with business teams
  • Running weekly reviews with stakeholders
  • Assisting with ad-hoc analysis on various projects as needed

Requirements and Qualifications

  • CA/MBA/B.Tech degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience post-qualification
  • Strong Excel/Google sheet skills and good business acumen
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in financial modeling and PowerPoint skills
  • Previous experience as a business finance partner is desired; experience in retail or start-up would be preferred
  • Self-starter who can take ownership of deliverables with minimal direction and develop new approaches to business problems
  • Continuous improvement attitude and fast learning ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of SQL is a plus
