Software Development Engineer Position Summary
About the Role- The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and investigating issues in Windows, VMware, and HyperV environments.
- This role involves executing kernel patching and storage additions according to database requirements, as well as automating routine monitoring tasks using scripting tools.
- Escalation of unresolved issues to Level 3 Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and coordination with third-party vendors during troubleshooting are also key aspects of this position.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues in various IT environments.
- Perform kernel patching and storage addition tasks per database requirements.
- Automate routine monitoring tasks using scripting tools.
- Elevate unresolved issues to L3 SMEs and coordinate with external vendors.
- Maintain process compliance by updating tickets, generating shift handover reports, and tracking Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science is required.
- Certifications in OS 201, Windows Server Administration, and VMware Virtualization (VMware-201) are highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience in system troubleshooting, antivirus management, and scripting is essential.
- A strong understanding of clustering concepts, including Windows NLB and Clustering, is necessary for success in this role.
