Job Title:
Technical Infrastructure SpecialistThis is a pivotal role that requires the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will play a key part in ensuring the seamless operation of hardware, software, and networks to support business-critical systems and enable commercial advantages.
In this capacity, you will report to the IT Manager and be responsible for various duties including system administration, user management, IT security, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, data management, documentation, hardware oversight, software management, network administration, end-user support, project involvement, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration: Installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), and applications.
- User Management: Creating and managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- IT Security: Implementing security protocols, conducting audits, and responding to threats or breaches.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitoring system and network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Data Management: Managing data backups, recovery plans, and ensuring business continuity.
- Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Hardware Oversight: Tracking and managing IT hardware inventory, procurement, and lifecycle.
- Software Management: Ensuring timely software updates, license compliance, and version control.
- Network Administration: Configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
- End-User Support: Providing technical assistance and training to staff across departments.
- Project Involvement: Participating in IT projects including upgrades, migrations, and new initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to IT policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 5 years of proven experience in IT infrastructure and systems administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
