Lead Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. As a key member of the group, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical components and assemblies for high-reliability products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop enclosures for harsh environments using 3D CAD modeling and drafting tools such as SolidWorks.
  • Lead prototyping efforts using various methods, including CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, 3D printing, and plastic molding.
  • Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to meet mechanical, thermal, and environmental requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with electronics and software engineering teams to ensure seamless mechanical integration in multi-disciplinary systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and drafting using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tools.
  • Strong expertise in mechanical enclosure design, especially for IP65/IP68-rated products and rugged environments.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping techniques, including 3D printing, sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, and injection molding.
  • In-depth understanding of material selection, tolerance stack-up analysis, and mechanical design calculations (stress, thermal, vibration).
  • Familiarity with GD&T, technical drawing standards, and compliance with industry norms (ASME, ISO).

Educational & Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 10–12 years of relevant industry experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior or leadership role in mechanical design.
