Production Leadership Role

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Production Engineer to lead and oversee production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in sheet metal fabrication, welding (TIG/MIG for stainless steel), CAD tools, and resource optimization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee shop floor operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, and timely delivery.
  • Develop and implement plans to schedule, prioritize, and optimize production activities.
  • Provide technical guidance in sheet metal fabrication, TIG/MIG welding for stainless steel assemblies, assembly, and finishing processes.
  • Manage resource allocation and optimize utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with lean manufacturing principles, 5S, EHS, and Kaizen methodologies.

Requirements and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 4–7 years of experience in production/manufacturing roles, with at least 2+ years in sheet metal fabrication and welding.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD software.
  • Hands-on expertise in TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding for stainless steel assemblies.
  • Strong background in resource optimization, 5S, Kaizen, EHS, and lean manufacturing.

Work Arrangements & Requirements:

  • Full-time, permanent role based in Chennai.
  • Day shift schedule (Monday to Friday).
  • Saturday and Sunday off.
  • Candidates must have their own travel arrangements.
