The Senior Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in the Government Solutions team within Executive Education department at ISB.
This individual is responsible for leading revenue and pipeline generation from key public sector accounts/ territory, and driving business growth with individual sales targets.
- Generate revenue and manage client relationships from end-to-end as part of the sales process.
- Research new market opportunities and clients, establishing networks, arranging meetings, and supporting customer outreach to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and other methods.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition.
- Prepare approach notes and proposal documents, translating client-provided information into clear programme objectives and learning outcomes.
- Support programme documentation and create knowledge collaterals.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders on all their Program Management and business development related queries.
- Facilitate discussions with the client to elaborate on the areas of proposed improvements.
This role involves frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data. The ideal candidate will be able to manage diagnostic studies and support the sales process when required.
Key Responsibilities:- Revenue generation / orders booked - 30%
- Contacting potential clients to establish network, arrange meetings and support in customer outreach – Lead generation and customer outreach - 30%
- Prepare pitch decks, proposals and for all client related engagements - 20%
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders on all their Program Management and business development related queries. Facilitate discussions with the client to elaborate on the areas of proposed improvements - 10%
- Database and knowledge creation and management -10%
This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent interpersonal & communication skills, analytical and diagnostic skills, good questioning, probing and listening skills, and multi-tasking ability with superior time management skills.
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in business administration or education or a related discipline, experience in curriculum design and blended learning, and proficiency in MS Office, especially excel.
A willingness and flexibility to travel and take up sales responsibility, along with good communication skills – written and verbal, strong Knowledge of MS Office, especially excel, and comfortable with Multitasking are essential for this role.
