Job Opportunity: Senior Manager – Taxation

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead and oversee the execution of tax operations for group entities.

This role involves managing direct & indirect tax compliance, audits & assessments, litigation management, and ensuring adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Tax Payments & Compliance:
    • Manage payments of TDS, Advance Income Tax & Security Transaction Tax (STT)
    • Verify reports prepared by the team and authorize payments
    • Collate financial data to ensure accuracy and timely statutory compliance
  • Tax Return Filing & Certification:
    • Validate TDS, Service Tax & STT returns for filing
    • Ensure accuracy of statutory certificates
    • Prepare & coordinate STT return filings as per regulations
  • Audits & Assessments:
    • Prepare income computation reports & liaise with auditors/consultants
    • Address queries from auditors and tax authorities
    • Support scrutiny cases and attend hearings where required
  • Litigations & Appeals:
    • Coordinate with consultants for appeals at Tribunal/High Court/Supreme Court
    • Approve statutory fees & ensure documentation of cases
  • Other Activities:
    • Review & validate regulatory submissions
    • Ensure STT applicability on new securities

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Strong knowledge of taxation laws & accounting standards
  • Proven experience in financial services with Capital Market exposure
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Leadership skills to build and manage high-performing teams
  • Process-driven problem-solving mindset with execution focus
  • Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvements
