Senior Water Design Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Design Director to lead our multidisciplinary delivery teams on various water and wastewater capital projects across the UK.

  • Technical leadership: As a Senior Water Design Director, you will be responsible for technically leading and managing the delivery of project-related tasks to meet budget, timeframe, and quality targets. You will ensure effective project management and financial controls for key accounts.

You will work closely with clients and other sectors and disciplines to promote and market all facets of our services. Your role will contribute towards the achievement of our divisional business plan and building networks within the industry.

  • Prior experience in water design is essential, including working on Non-Linear assets (e.g., Treatment Plants, Combined sewer overflows & Pumping Stations) and Linear Assets/ Utilities - clean and waste.
  • Familiarity with HADES software, British and international standards, and practices is required.
  • Ability to review buildability of proposed solutions independently and challenge designs.
  • Awareness of Sustainability best practices and ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across regions.
Requirements
  • Around 15+ years of experience and having a BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as ICE, or CIWEM.
  • Significant experience and track record in technical delivery of process plant systems on complex engineering projects, preferably related to water and wastewater industry.
  • Experience of working on design and construct projects using digital design platforms.
