The role of a Desktop Support Specialist is to provide technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their jobs efficiently.
This position requires a strong understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Office applications, and other network administration tools. The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, as well as strong customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing timely and effective support for end-user issues and requests
- Utilizing Nexthink for proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution
- Managing access to collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams
- Monitoring and responding to phishing email incidents
- Performing remote software installations and configurations
- Resetting passwords and unlocking user accounts
- Assisting with setting up and troubleshooting Zoom meetings and other video conferencing solutions
- Addressing Zscaler/network connectivity issues
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in desktop support or a similar role
