
Global Property Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled property accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in U.S. property management accounting, with expertise in development accounting, financial reporting, and supporting key property management operations.
\The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements for development projects\
- Maintaining general ledgers and ensuring accurate monthly and year-end closing\
- Handling draw accounting, including preparation and tracking of draw requests\
- Managing payables and cash flow, including processing and approving payables, wire requests, and ensuring timely disbursements\
- Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies\
- Generating AR aging reports and working with property managers to reduce delinquencies\
- Providing operational support, including collaborating with U.S. cross-functional teams to address accounting queries\\
- Assisting with property-related decision-making through data analysis and insights\
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and laws\
- Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures\
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless accounting processes\
- Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes as needed\\
- Preparing and presenting financial reports to management and stakeholders\
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in accounting\\
- Acting as a subject matter expert for accounting-related matters\\
- Participating in continuous learning and professional development\
- Contributing to the development of new accounting processes and procedures\
- Ensuring accurate and timely completion of all accounting tasks\
- Analyzing and interpreting financial data to inform business decisions\\
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including property managers and developers\
- Communicating complex financial concepts to non-accounting professionals\\
- Implementing and maintaining effective accounting controls and risk management strategies\\
- Overseeing the accounting team's daily activities and providing guidance and support as needed\\
- Driving business growth by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for cost savings and process improvements\\
- Leading cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives\\
- Coordinating and implementing accounting system upgrades and implementations\\
- Designing and implementing training programs for the accounting team\\
- Developing and maintaining technical knowledge and staying current with industry developments\\
- Creating and disseminating clear and concise financial information to stakeholders\\
- Collaborating with other departments to develop and implement strategic initiatives\\
- Contributing to the development of business cases and proposals for new initiatives\\
- Developing and implementing performance metrics and monitoring progress against goals\\
- Enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes\\
- Promoting a culture of accountability and transparency within the accounting team\\
- Aligning accounting practices with company goals and objectives\\
- Supporting the development of business plans and forecasts\\
- Facilitating communication between accounting and other departments to ensure alignment and understanding\\
- Driving innovation and continuous improvement in accounting processes and procedures\\
- Engaging in ongoing evaluation and refinement of accounting systems and processes\\
- Coaching and mentoring team members to enhance their skills and abilities\\
- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and transactions\\
- Implementing and maintaining compliant accounting practices and procedures\\
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators\\
- Advancing business interests through collaborative relationships with external parties\\
- Representing the company in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with external stakeholders\\
- Attending conferences, workshops, and training sessions to stay current with industry developments and best practices\\

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum 3+ years of experience in U.S. property management accounting (development focus preferred)\
- Proficiency in Yardi software\
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliations\
- Knowledge of development accounting, draw accounting, financial statements, wire transfers, payables, and payroll processing\
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills\\
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines\\
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands\\
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges and responsibilities\\
