Job Title: Head of Ecommerce

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive ecommerce strategy to drive revenue growth, improve profitability, and enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the full P&L for your assigned geography, setting aggressive targets for revenue, margin, and customer acquisition cost (CAC)/lifetime value (LTV).
  • Craft and execute a holistic growth strategy across direct-to-consumer (D2C), marketplaces, offline, and emerging channels.
  • Forecast demand and manage end-to-end inventory to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize stock-outs and ageing stock.
  • Define product-market fit, localize hero SKUs, develop new-product roadmaps, and sunset low-return-on-investment (ROI) lines.
  • Collaborate with R&D to adapt formulations for regional regulations and sensorial preferences.
  • Orchestrate 360° marketing efforts, allocating budgets for maximum return on ad spend (ROAS). Establish data pipelines and dashboards to track cohorts, repeat rates, marketplace rankings, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) in real-time.
  • Negotiate with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), payment partners, and duty consultants to optimize landed costs and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Recruit, mentor, and performance-manage cross-functional teams, including growth, operations, customer success, retail, and trade functions.
  • Champion customer obsession by leveraging voice-of-customer (VOC) insights to inform product updates and customer experience enhancements.
  • Drive strategic partnerships with wellness chains, tourism boards, Ayurveda clinics, and other relevant organizations to amplify reach and impact.
  • Ensure legal and tax compliance, including cosmetics claims, import duties, and GDPR-like mandates.
  • Present quarterly business reviews to senior leadership, highlighting wins, risks, and next bets. Deploy a test-and-learn culture, running A/B tests on funnels, creatives, bundles, and pricing levers.
  • Benchmark competition to deliver actionable intelligence on pricing, share-of-voice, and shelf velocity.
  • Serve as the brand's cultural ambassador, embodying its ethos while driving high-performance execution.

Qualifications:

  • Tier 1 colleges only. IIMs, XLRI, MDI, ISB etc.
  • 10 to 17 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Retail industry (FMCG, Retail, Ecommerce)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong analytical, data and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use the information for reporting
