We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Design Expert to join our team. As a key member of the Combined Service Route Team, you will work independently on projects, leveraging your expertise in railway industry design.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4+ years' experience in UK/AU designs, including level crossing design projects and lineside ancillary civils designs, as well as cable trough management (CSR) systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed designs and calculations.
  • Undertake concept design, feasibility studies, and detailed design as required.
  • Lead technicians/BIM Modellers in developing level crossing ground plans, cable trough management systems, designing lineside structures, and associated deliverables.
  • Manage integration and coordination of CSR Systems with other rail disciplines.
  • Ensure minimal rework, maintaining quality and accuracy for projects undertaken.
  • Have extensive design knowledge in Network Rail infrastructure/AU Transportation and Knowledge of Network Rail procedures/standards.
  • Review and monitor the production of drawings to maintain quality and accuracy.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree Civil/Masters in Structural Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • 4+ years' experience in Rail infrastructure.
  • Current competencies with relevant Rail Authorities (e.g. VLine, Network Rail, etc).
  • Ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as being a self-starter able to work unsupervised.
  • Deep understanding of CSR systems and their role in rail operations.
