Job Title: Senior Track DesignerBe part of a dynamic team working on railway track design projects. We are looking for a skilled Senior Track Designer to join our organization.Responsibilities:
  • Lead the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases of rail track infrastructure projects
  • Develop ballasted and non-ballasted track structures, track alignment, profile, and associated grading plus drainage
  • Assess rail vehicle/infrastructure clearances and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Peer review track designs and reports before submission to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver high-quality work and consistent results
  • Prepare design briefs, technical reports, design analysis, and calculations
Key Competencies/Skills:
  • Horizontal and vertical alignment design and reporting
  • Turnout design for simple and complex track configurations
  • Clearance assessments and kinematic profile understanding
  • Track componentry and fixing types knowledge
  • Maintenance principles awareness
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
  • Planning own work to meet project timelines and budgets
  • Communicating effectively with managers and engineers across disciplines
Software Competencies:
  • Proficient in MicroStation/AutoCAD/Open Rail Designer
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Gauging clearance assessment skills
  • ProjectWise or similar software experience for design handling
Qualifications:
  • Civil Engineering degree from an accredited institution
  • Chartered status (working towards or willing to work towards)
  • 7-10 years' experience in rail infrastructure/engineering environment
