Academic Development Manager Position

This academic development manager role is designed to foster a culture of excellence in education by driving academic growth and improving instructional practices at our school. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding teachers, monitoring lesson plans, and collaborating with school leadership to address performance gaps.

  • Lesson Plan Oversight and Review
    • Conduct regular reviews and monitor lesson plans from all teachers to ensure alignment with modern pedagogical strategies and curriculum standards.
    • Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement to enhance teaching quality and student engagement.
  • Teacher Coaching and Training
    • Offer coaching and mentoring support to teachers to enhance their lesson planning and instructional delivery skills.
    • Develop and conduct workshops and training sessions to reinforce modern teaching methods and best practices.
    • Provide subject-specific and grade-specific guidance to help teachers improve their instruction and assessment strategies.
  • Classroom Observations and Feedback
    • Establish an observation schedule covering all teachers in the school, multiple times throughout the academic year, to evaluate teaching effectiveness.
    • Conduct formal and informal classroom observations to assess teaching quality and provide actionable feedback to teachers.
    • Share targeted feedback with teachers to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Prepare monthly reports on academic performance and teaching quality for the Principal and Vice Principal.
    • Maintain open communication channels with school leadership to address challenges and track progress.
    • Discuss performance issues with school leaders and recommend necessary interventions to improve instructional quality.
  • Quality Assurance and Improvement
    • Ensure consistent implementation of school-approved teaching and learning strategies across the school.
    • Identify professional development needs based on observation data and lesson plan reviews.
    • Collaborate with leadership to make informed decisions that drive academic excellence and improve instructional quality.
