Job Overview:
The Chief Manager is a key role that oversees the entire issuance and fulfillment process of new business. This includes managing Work-in-Progress (WIP) and implementing central initiatives to streamline the process through regular engagement with distribution, policy issuance, and underwriting teams.
Main Responsibilities:
- Relationship Management: Strengthen relationships with distribution heads by engaging regularly and monitoring performance improvement opportunities.
- New Business Management: Manage new business issuance by ensuring daily progress on WIP to meet monthly targets, driving WIP clearance, and conducting regular governance calls with HUB teams.
- Data and Reporting: Deliver reports and analysis on various business parameters, providing data sets and reports to distribution, and working closely with internal departments on report automation.
- Control and Monitoring: Ensure compliance with relevant norms, maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), control changes in existing processes, and process service requests according to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Projects and Continuous Improvement: Conduct benchmarking internally and externally to establish best-in-class delivery/quality standards, roll out new guidelines for distribution adherence, and develop team members to perform effectively and efficiently.
Measures of Success:
- Monthly governance engagements with Distribution leaders/head
- Publishing Monthly Issuance Dashboard/Scorecard
- Driving Operational efficiencies with Distribution team
- FTR of 85%
- Drive customer satisfaction through resolution of escalations and requests with TAT
- Talent retention, >10% attrition for G2M2abv
- Accurate reconciliation of business data/reports
- User-friendly customization of analytical reports.
- Number of Initiatives deployed to bring in process improvements
- Effective alignment across departments with minimal escalations
Desired Qualification and Experience:
- Graduate/Post Graduate in Management
- Must have a minimum of 10+ years of experience,
- 5 years in relationship management and Banca operations management
- Sound Knowledge of Bancassurance or Banking Operations Model & specifically operations processes
- Good communication & analytical skills
- Strong data skills and solution-centric approach
- Customer-centric approach
- Process documentation and systems approach
- Computer skills in using databases and office management software including spreadsheets/presentation skills
- Team management and strong relationship skills
