Senior Laboratory Operations Specialist

Job Overview
- Responsible for conducting thorough testing of soil, water, and product biodegradation studies in marine, soil, compost, and anaerobic environments.
- Manage daily laboratory operations ensuring accuracy and efficiency at all times.
- Affirm the resolution of technical issues arising from routine analysis, collaborating with the Head of Lab on critical matters.
- Coordinate lab assignments and schedule tasks for analysts and lab technicians effectively.
- Ensure data quality by receiving, compiling, verifying, and documenting results from lab testing, maintaining accurate records for customer quality control samples.
- Analyze and compile quality control sample results to guarantee accuracy and operating efficiency of processes and equipment.
- Train laboratory analysts to maintain high standards.
- Control lab equipment and supply inventory, coordinating replacement or repair of faulty items and performing scheduled instrument calibrations and verifications.
- Assume a secondary role to the Laboratory Manager in their absence.
- Follow up on NCRs, implement corrective actions, and close out investigative preventative action as needed.
- Possess knowledge and experience in the testing, inspection, and certification industry.
- Nurture internal and external relationships with clients domestically and internationally.
Education Qualification: Master's degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology.
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in the service industry.
