Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Research Specialist to join our team. As a Research Specialist, you will play a key role in designing, synthesizing, and characterizing organic compounds for various applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute organic synthesis routes to target compounds using strong theoretical and practical knowledge of organic chemistry principles and techniques.
  • Purify and characterize organic molecules using analytical techniques such as Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), and Infrared (IR) spectroscopy.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data to troubleshoot reactions and optimize synthetic routes, applying problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and address project challenges, utilizing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and observations, adhering to safety protocols and best practices in the laboratory environment.
  • Stay current with literature and technological advancements in organic chemistry to contribute to the development of novel methodologies and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Organic Chemistry, or related field(s), or evidence of exceptional ability.
  • 1-2+ years of industrial experience preferred.
  • Nice to have: Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Organic Chemistry, or related field(s).
  • Strong hands-on experience with organic synthesis, purification, and characterization methods.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
