Account Receivables Manager

The Account Receivables Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounts receivable function.

This includes managing credit control policies, evaluating customer creditworthiness through financial analysis and credit scoring, and approving or recommending credit limits and payment terms.

Additionally, this role involves monitoring the accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely collection of debts and reviewing customer accounts on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement account receivables policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate new and existing customer creditworthiness through financial analysis and credit scoring.
  • Approve or recommend credit limits and payment terms.
  • Monitor the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all debts are collected in a timely manner.
  • Review and reconcile customer accounts on a regular basis.
  • Ensure accurate and timely allocation of receipts.
  • Lead and manage the collections team and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Resolve invoice disputes and escalate problematic cases to management.
  • Maintain regular contact with key customers to secure payments.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on receivables aging, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), bad debt provisions, and collection efficiency.
  • Highlight high-risk accounts and overdue balances to senior management.
  • Work closely with the sales, legal, and customer service teams to resolve credit issues and support customer relationships.
  • Liaise with external credit rating agencies and legal advisors as required.
  • Manage, train, and motivate the account receivables team.
  • Set performance KPIs and review team performance on a regular basis.
  • Ensure adherence to company credit policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
