Director of Strategic Planning and Execution

The Director of Strategic Planning and Execution will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive program work plans across various initiatives. They will be responsible for maintaining a clear and accurate plan, identifying and communicating strategic insights to optimize timelines and resourcing. This role requires strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain a Comprehensive Program Work Plan: Develop and maintain a comprehensive program work plan that aligns with business objectives. Ensure accuracy and consistency across multiple views tailored to different audiences.
  2. Conduct Rolling Check-ins: Regularly meet with initiative and market representatives to ensure plan accuracy and identify potential dependencies or risks.
  3. Standardize Forecasting: Establish and facilitate forecasting processes to predict resource needs across markets.
  4. Communicate Strategic Insights: Identify and communicate strategic insights from integrated plans to optimize timelines and resourcing.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support Integrated Planning Workshops: Assist in preparing and facilitating workshops to align program strategy with market needs.
  • Raise and Mitigate Risks: Proactively raise and help mitigate potential dependencies, risks, or other issues through governance channels.
  • Socialize Integrated Plans: Share integrated plans with market and initiative forums for validation and with executive forums for awareness.
  • Oversee User Experience: Ensure smooth user experience of project management tooling and assist with continuous learning.
  • Collaboration and Synthesization: Support collaboration and synthesization between Integrated PMO, initiative project teams, Transformation Management Office, and horizontal capabilities.
  • Onboarding and Relationship Building: Introduce Leads and PMs to Integrated PMO ways of working, standards, and onboarding materials. Build and maintain strong relationships across markets and initiatives to support alignment.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • Experience: Overall 15+ years of experience, with a minimum of 8 years in project or program management.
  • Skills: Skilled with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Experience with project management tools (e.g., Planview, Jira, Smartsheet).
  • Resource Management: Experience maintaining workplans across initiatives and geographies. Skilled in deriving strategic insights from plans and forecasting models. Experience in resource management and capacity planning.
  • Leadership: Experience leading workshops with executive-level, global stakeholders.
  • Communication: Effective communicator with ability to customize messaging for varying audiences. Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
