Hitachi Storage Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Hitachi Storage Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge storage solutions and contribute to the success of our organization.

Job Description:

The Hitachi Storage Specialist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of SAN and storage environments, including collaborating with customer support teams, participating in problem solving and troubleshooting, supporting design, operation, workflow, and issue resolution for storage infrastructure, maintaining systems level maintenance for storage infrastructure, tracking existing storage usage trending and capacity planning for future growth, maintaining storage documentation, procedures, and reporting, providing Storage Area Network Configuration and Administration, and allocating storage to server infrastructure.

  • Manage infrastructure events, including capacity management, monitoring storage subsystem and SAN switch capacity, performing capacity analysis, analyzing performance data and trends, and tracking existing storage usage trending and capacity planning for future growth.
  • Investigate and diagnose raised problem(s) or problem records for root cause analysis, perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with best practices from Hitachi Global Support and Company change management policies, interface with assigned Hitachi storage engineers to manage the implementation of all additional storage infrastructure and storage services, mentor and train junior admins, oversee the design, installation, configuration, and de-provision of storage solutions, and perform performance management for SAN and storage.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in handling majority of activities mentioned in the scope above, experience in handling Hitachi storages and Brocade switches infrastructure, exposure to operations and management activities on Hitachi Storage(s), Unified compute platforms, various host O/S including basic cluster management, strong verbal and written communication, and Hitachi Technical certification is desirable.
