Electrical Engineer - Energy Storage Systems Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to take on the role of Energy Storage Systems Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the development and implementation of battery-based energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Designing electrical systems for battery-based energy storage, encompassing PCS, BMS, EMS, and SCADA configurations.
  2. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in the USA.
  3. Conducting thorough reviews of technical documents and installations to ensure compliance.
  4. Understanding fundamental aspects and main characteristics of current battery technologies and their relation to battery parameters.
  5. Developing FAT and integration test plans for BESS systems.
  6. Reviewing documents provided by vendors.
  7. Managing bids and projects throughout their lifecycle.
  8. Conducting electrical testing using appropriate PPE and procedures.
  9. Attending training sessions on equipment as provided by manufacturers and approved by supervisors.
Requirements
  1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in BESS.
  2. A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, or a relevant engineering field. Candidates with a Ph.D. in similar fields are also welcome.
  3. Ability to comprehend and read electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
  4. A minimum of three years of experience or training in electrical knowledge related to BESS.
  5. Excellent organizational, communication, analytical, planning, time management, and customer service skills.
  6. Competency in using Microsoft office software like Outlook, Excel, Word.
  7. Skills in client management, team management, and process management.
  8. Knowledge of other electrical and PV software is an added advantage.
