Senior Firmware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with expertise in storage system design and firmware development. The ideal candidate is an innovative self-starter with deep knowledge of storage technologies, capable of making architectural trade-offs to optimize performance and power across diverse use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and customize controller firmware for enterprise-class storage solutions.

Work on firmware development with a strong focus on NAND Flash technologies (SLC, TLC, QLC).

Contribute to modeling efforts for storage products from concept through production.

Support device characterization, benchmarking, and performance optimization.

Collaborate closely with architecture, hardware, validation, and software teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Debug and troubleshoot complex firmware issues across multiple layers.

Ensure best practices by working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably in the storage domain (SSD/HDD).
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ and assembly programming.
  • Hands-on experience with storage interfaces: PCIe/NVMe, AHCI, SATA, SAS, UFS, eMMC.
  • Proven experience with firmware design, customization, and support.
  • Strong analytical and abstract thinking ability with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Prior exposure to device drivers is desirable.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
