Pension Reserve Analyst Position

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze and estimate reserves for P&C insurance products, including performing loss reserve reviews and analyses.
  2. Apply various reserving methods and techniques to estimate liabilities, such as loss development, loss ratio, and loss triangle analyses.
  3. Analyze data and perform actuarial calculations to assess risks and determine appropriate reserve levels.
  4. Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes related to reserving, including Solvency II or IFRS 17 requirements.
  5. Prepare and present actuarial findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering, economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences, statistics.
  • Affiliation to IAI or IFOA, with at least 8-9 CT actuarial exams, SP7 will be an added advantage.
  • At least 5yrs+ Actuarial experience in the P&C insurance industry.
  • Strong reserving experience or good knowledge of reserving methods and techniques.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, VBA, SAS, and other relevant tools for data analysis and modeling.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
