Job Overview:

The primary objective of this role is to undertake thorough geological interpretation and modeling.

  • Conduct integrated geological analysis incorporating diverse data sources.
  • Develop robust static geo-cellular models by consolidating available field data.
  • Precisely estimate volumetric reserves across multiple cases while capturing the scope of uncertainties.
  • Perform quality control on map-based and model-based OGIIP estimations.
  • Generate alternative development strategies based on well type, spacing, and other factors.
  • Review geological prognosis and well trajectories for development drilling.
  • Provide operational support to the Ops Geology team during geo-steering/drilling operations and offer strategic decisions when necessary.
  • Offer technical inputs for business development plans.
  • Responsible for planning and acquiring geological data to fill knowledge gaps and reduce uncertainty through enhanced field comprehension.
  • Support pre- and post-drill geo-mechanical analysis.
  • Support the RE team during dynamic simulation.
  • Perform quality control on onsite and lab measurements on cores for coal characterization.
  • Evaluate CBM data packages from regulatory bodies or prospective sellers for block acquisition or farming-in.
  • Review and perform quality control on subsurface deliverables from third-party SME studies.
  • Generate integrated subsurface descriptions and risk/uncertainty matrices.
  • Ensure cross-functional communications with Projects, FC&A, P&C, D&C, etc., regarding all planning and execution related to Operations and Development.
  • Review scope of works and technical evaluation/recommendation for procuring materials/services of Sub-surface.

Key Requirements:

M.Sc / M.Tech or PhD in Geology

Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in the industry working on interpretation, geo-modelling, well planning, and operations.
