Environmental Social Governance Specialist Role

This is a high-impact position situated at the intersection of sales, sustainability, and technology. As an ESG specialist, you will be responsible for navigating clients through the path of Environmental Social Governance.

  • Lead discovery conversations with senior executives and sustainability leaders to grasp their ESG challenges.
  • Tailor and present demos of the platform, mapping capabilities directly to identified client pain points and ESG requirements.
  • Serve as the ESG domain expert in prospect conversations - capable of addressing complex technical queries on ESG standards, frameworks, carbon accounting, compliance, and assurance.
  • Prepare solution proposals and decks post-demo that outline how the platform addresses client challenges, including solution design, value articulation, and next steps.
  • Nurture partially qualified prospects, through thought leadership, peer analysis, case studies, and ROI calculations.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Delivery, and Product teams to ensure consistency of message and teamwork to win and retain business.

You will conduct client discovery, build business cases, and deliver demos in enterprise B2B environments. You will also translate technical ESG and compliance requirements into business impact, and prepare solution documents, proposals, and ROI models that resonate with CFOs, CSOs, and board-level stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • 3–6 years of experience in ESG consulting, sustainability advisory, or pre-sales for an ESG SaaS product.
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks, reporting standards, and assurance practices.
  • Proven experience conducting client discovery, building business cases, and delivering demos in enterprise B2B environments.
  • Strong storytelling skills – able to communicate ESG and compliance requirements effectively.
  • Comfort with preparing solution documents, proposals, and ROI models.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to prepare peer benchmarking and market insights.
  • A consultative, client-first mindset with the ability to build trust and credibility quickly.
  • Bonus: Experience with ESG software platforms, SaaS workflows, or carbon accounting tools.
