Job Opportunity: Regional Head – Sales

The ideal candidate will lead commercial efforts across the region in India to maximize market opportunities. This role involves managing business operations, including maximizing sales and market share gain for products and/or services throughout assigned regions in India's domestic and regulated markets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Business Development Strategy
    • Contribute to global accounts growth objectives.
    • Determine strategies for selected accounts.
    • Build wallet share of business for a leading pharmaceutical company in India.
  • Leading Sales and Account Management
    • Lead operations and day-to-day activities to ensure smooth functioning of businesses and monthly order forecasting for production planning.
    • Grow share of business, expand relationships within customers identifying influencers, gatekeepers, decision-makers in the region of India.
    • Deploy a strong consultative selling approach with assigned accounts to identify supply chain challenges and develop value-creating solutions.
    • Interact with regular customers to ensure continuity of existing businesses from order receipt to shipment as per customer requirements.
    • Coordinate with planning/production and logistics/shipping teams to ensure despatch as per customer timelines, shipping documentations provided to customers, and payments received by due dates.
    • Necessary interactions/coordinations with various departments for samples, regulatory requirements, DMFs, and other documentation for new customer and regulatory approvals to meet statutory requirements.
    • Manage business development activities to add new customers and increase market coverage of existing product ranges in untapped regions.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Identify markets and customers for new products and pipeline products. Assist regional heads for successful launches and ensure sales of new products once commercialized.
  • Provide market research, market intelligence, and key information on international market trends and competition to support future export strategies.
