Job Description:

A Java Backend Developer is responsible for designing and developing software applications with a focus on backend development. The successful candidate will be part of a team of engineers in developing high-quality code.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement custom software applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
  • Implement quality practices – unit testing, code reviews / leading tests
  • Optimize the application for non-functional requirements
  • Build and deploy components as part of the CI/CD process
  • Coordinate end-to-end application delivery, including production deployment
  • Monitor application health and KPIs, support triage of any production issues
  • Collaborate in troubleshooting complex data, features, service, and platform issues
  • Advocate security best practices and champion importance of security within engineering

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7-9 years of professional experience in Java/J2EE, REST APIs, Spring Core, Spring MVC Framework, Spring Boot Framework JPA, Spring Security
  • Experience working with Unit testing using frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, JBehave
  • Experience building and deploying services using Gradle, Maven, Jenkins
  • GCP knowledge mandatory for offshore, preferred for onshore
  • Experience with Relational Database (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
