Job Title: Financial Services Training Specialist

Job Description:
  • Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments to understand learner characteristics, skill levels, and job settings.
  • Determine effective instructional strategies based on assessment results.
  • Design, modify, or develop high-quality instructional materials for various training modalities, including traditional classroom, web-based, and job-aids.
  • Classes may feature standard or customized content, using a train-the-trainer or end-user approach.
  • Deliver engaging and informative training sessions using excellent presentation skills, verbal communication, and classroom management techniques at company facilities or client locations.
  • Evaluate training outcomes by soliciting and reviewing feedback and evaluation from taught classes.
  • Stay up-to-date on system changes by reviewing product documentation, technical requirements, and configuration control specifications.
  • Develop and manage content and parameters of training banks, including account and scenario setup, product definition across multiple applications, and security features.
  • Manage all aspects of training projects, including reviewing project statements, communicating with clients, and working with implementation and client relationship teams to adapt training context and content accordingly.
  • Stay current on relevant trends within the financial services industry, focusing on banking, wealth management, insurance, and regulatory aspects related to products and services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Thorough knowledge of trained systems and products, as well as company procedures.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of adult education principles and techniques.
  • Classroom management skills.
  • Strong understanding of banking and financial services industries, including commercial and consumer banking, lending, insurance, wealth management, online banking, card services, and bill payment services.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in technology and office automation tools.
  • Customer service skills, with a focus on client needs and building positive relationships.
  • Team skills, including establishing effective working relationships with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, project management, leadership, and negotiation skills.
