Our policy team plays a pivotal role in navigating regulatory environments and ensuring business alignment within India's policy framework. This team collaborates closely with government bodies, regulatory departments, and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives. By leading engagement efforts, the team ensures compliance and competitiveness in the markets we operate in.

The Public Policy Executive will provide direction and guidance on policy strategies that align with our business goals. The role involves representing our interests with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders at local, state, and national levels. Additionally, the executive will monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments to identify emerging opportunities and challenges that may impact our business.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in public policy and regulatory affairs, with a strong focus on the Indian market. They should possess a robust network of stakeholders, including senior-level connections, with a demonstrated ability to effectively and comfortably interact at the highest levels. The candidate should also have an extensive understanding of the policy climate in India, combined with sound business judgment and practical common sense.

The Public Policy Executive will be responsible for identifying and understanding key technical aspects pertaining to corporate operations in legislative and regulatory proposals, understanding business implications, and synthesizing policy documents for internal and external customers. They should possess exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus and manage complex stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide direction and guidance on policy strategies that align with our business goals.
• Represent our interests with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders at local, state, and national levels.
• Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments to identify emerging opportunities and challenges that may impact our business.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on key policy matters, ensuring proactive decision-making.
• Develop and implement strategies to address critical legislative, regulatory, and public policy proposals.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in policy-related matters, offering both tactical and strategic advice to senior leadership.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across regulatory, industry, and business networks.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in public policy and regulatory affairs, with a strong focus on the Indian market.
• A robust network of stakeholders, including senior-level connections, with a demonstrated ability to effectively and comfortably interact at the highest levels.
• An extensive understanding of the policy climate in India, with an informed global perspective, combined with sound business judgment and practical common sense.
• Ability to anticipate emerging issues of importance to the company, communicating their impact on us to senior management, and developing a strategy to address them effectively.
• Ability to identify and understand key technical aspects pertaining to corporate operations in legislative and regulatory proposals, understand business implications, and synthesize policy documents for internal and external customers.
