Job Title: Public Relations Expert

This role involves acting as a leader and driving projects forward in line with the company vision, values, and goals.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with colleagues, clients, media, and marketing teams, managing client expectations, and ensuring 100% client retention.
  • Key responsibilities include monitoring media coverage, planning publicity strategies, and preparing briefs, scripts, and responses for interviews.
  • Liaise daily with clients and the media via telephone and email to ensure effective communication.
  • Build strong relationships and networks with colleagues, clients, media, and marketing teams to drive business growth.
  • Manage the PR aspect of a possible crisis to mitigate its impact.
  • Ensure client expectations are managed and 100% client retention is achieved.
  • Provide clients with information about new promotional opportunities and PR campaign progress.
  • Monitor traditional and digital media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, social media, podcasts, blogs, and newswires to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Collate, analyze, and evaluate media coverage to identify areas for improvement.
  • Track newspapers, magazines, and websites for opportunities to promote the company's interests.
  • Develop and implement publicity strategies and campaigns to raise awareness of the company's brand.
  • Strategize, enable execution, and create quarterly roadmaps to drive business objectives.
  • Prepare briefs, scripts, campaign taglines, and responses for interviews to effectively communicate the company's message.
  • Write and disseminate press releases, articles, and features to targeted media to promote the company's interests.
  • Promote news stories and features through various channels to increase visibility and engagement.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Public Relations or a related field.
  • Proven experience in public relations, preferably in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
